CTC Mamri tea is a specific variety of CTC (Crush, Tear, Curl) black tea, but with a distinctive characteristic in its shape and texture. While most CTC teas are processed into small, round pellets, mamri refers to larger, more broken pieces of tea leaves that resemble a “grain-like” shape.

Here’s a more detailed explanation:

• CTC Mamri is produced using the same Crush, Tear, and Curl method, but the final product is not as finely broken or powdered as traditional CTC tea. Instead, the tea leaves are processed in a way that results in a larger, more robust particle, with the shape resembling tiny "marmalade-like" or "grainy" pieces. This results in a tea that’s still strong and flavorful but with slightly less fine powder compared to typical CTC teas.

• Mamri means that the tea leaves are not as finely processed, leading to a less astringent brew when compared to the very fine, small CTC pellets. This gives the tea a somewhat mellower taste.

1. Flavor: Mamri tea tends to be strong and full-bodied, with a slightly more robust flavor than finer CTC teas. The flavor can be malty, rich, and slightly less sharp due to the larger leaf particles.

2. Brewing: Since the leaves are not as finely broken, CTC Mamri tea takes slightly longer to brew than regular CTC tea but still tends to brew quickly. It is ideal for making strong, flavorful cups of tea.
